Dental implants
Dental implants can provide an optimal solution for all age groups. At Allsopp Orthodontics, our principal orthodontist, Dr Jonathan Allsopp, has two decades of experience with them. What’s more, we’ve received Staumann Gold+ status in recognition of our implant work.
Nervous patient? We now offer private IV sedation. Terms and conditions apply.

What are dental implants?
Dental implants are titanium screws that are inserted into your gums in place of a root’s tooth. However, for them to be successful it’s important you have good oral hygiene and general health, as well as adequate bone volume and quality.
Before we embark on any dental implant treatment we need to ensure your teeth are healthy. We will provide an initial assessment of your teeth and then let you know what we believe will be the best treatment for you.
If dental implants are suitable for you we will use the 'Cadent iTero Intraoral scanner and Digital Impression System' which means we do not need to place impressions into your mouth. Instead, we do this digitally and save you having to suffer the bad taste and discomfort.
What type of dental implants do you use?
At Allsopp Orthodontics, we offer Implant-borne teeth using Straumann implants. These will help your mouth to not only look better, but function better as well. These dental implants are made of titanium and inserted under local anaesthetic to secure a foundation. The ‘bone’ is man-made with either Fortoss vital or Straumann bone ceramic.

Our implant-borne teeth will:
- Allow you to bite and chew naturally, enjoying your favourite foods again
- Make you feel more attractive
- Provide a permanent solution for missing teeth
Straumann dental implants have been sold over 4 million times worldwide. It is one of the most frequently used systems and is the result of more than 30 years of scientific experience. At Allsopp Orthodontics we have achieved Straumann Gold+ status.
